ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHY

Stacy O. Stitham is an associate whose practice includes civil
litigation in state and federal courts and proceedings before
administrative agencies on behalf of national corporations as well as
local businesses and individuals, with particular emphasis on
intellectual property litigation. She has represented clients in
patent, trademark, trade dress, and copyright suits in federal courts
ranging from Maine to California and from Illinois to Texas. Stacy
additionally has represented clients in administrative proceedings and
litigation against revenue departments in a number of states.

Stacy is a member of Brann & Isaacson’s team of lawyers representing the
Natural Resources Council of Maine in its efforts to preserve and
restore Maine's water resources, including the nearby Androscoggin
River. On July 7, 2010, she successfully obtained the entry of summary judgment in favor of The Talbots, Inc. in a lawsuit relating to claims arising under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Washington's state law regulating certain automated telephone calls. Cubbage v. The Talbots, Inc., ___ F.Supp.3d ___ (W.D. Wash. 2010).

Stacy is a co-author of 'Eyes on IP,' a blog that reports on developments in intellectual property law as they affect the business community.

EDUCATION

Harvard College (A.B., magna cum laude, 2002); Harvard Law School
(J.D., cum laude, 2005); Senior Editor, Harvard Law School Environmental
Law Review (2004 - 2005). Recipient, Kenneth R. Clegg Award for
Excellence (July 2005). This award is given to the applicant with the
highest combined score on the Maine Bar Examination in his or her first
attempt at passing a bar examination.
